The latest “Textmate”:http://macromates.com/ comes bundled with “Redcloth”:http://www.whytheluckystiff.net/ruby/redcloth/ which allows you to easily transform your textiled documents to XHTML.

h3. Two second textile conversion

“Drew McLellan”:http://allinthehead.com/retro/264/ showed a technique that allowed you to convert a textiled document to XHTML by using Textmates commands, this is now a lot easier.

Open Textmates Bundle Editor( ctrl+alt+apple+b or Window > Show Bundle Editor ) and create a new command under Ruby or whatever you’d like and pop the following in:

"$TM_SUPPORT_PATH/bin/Textile.rb"
  • Set to save nothing
  • Input: Entire Document
  • Output: Open as new document
  • Activation key of your choice
