“Peter Cooper”:http://www.petercooper.co.uk/archives/000721.html has released the source to “Snippets”:http://www.bigbold.com/snippets. This will be a great learning asset for those interested in tagging because Snippets implements some great tagging features. There is also some nifty “ajax”:http://www.adaptivepath.com/publications/essays/archives/000385.php features implemented in snippets as well.

The openness of the “Rails”:http://www.rubyonrails.com community has been surprising to say the least. There has been “numerous projects open-sourced”:http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/show/OpenSourceProjects and most of the projects are boasting the “MIT Licensing model”:http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php which pretty much grants you the freedom to do practically anything with the code both commercial and non-commercil.

I’m really glad to see the community being so open with there code, and the actions of “Peter”:http://petercooper.co.uk only enhance my knowledge, support and love for a framework I’ve barley been aquatinted with but feel as if i’ve been connected with for a while.

The community and support around a project are what essentially make or break it. The Rails code base is what got me here, the Rails community is what kept me here.
