IE 7 Gets transparent .png support and more

It seems that IE7 “has made progress”:http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/04/22/410963.aspx in the “Acid 2 Challenge”:http://www.webstandards.org/act/acid2/test.html#top .

This is great news, I honestly hope the IE team will make good on this and put a lot of bickering (although most of it justified) to rest. This will be a major step forward for all of us who deal with web design and development on a daily basis.

In another note, “Safari”:http://apple.com/safari has “got it all wrapped up”:http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/hyatt/archives/2005_04.html#008011 but some object element handling.

You meant “Gets” with no apostrophe. Sorry, my own internet culture pet peeve, fixing it one site at a time!

To be on-topic, this is good news for sure. IE6’s problems with PNGs have driven me nuts forever. I hope this turns out to work properly and not as another half-assed feature.
